I would like to introduce myself as your next rockstar Graphic Designer. As an exceptional graphic designer and digital content specialist, with a background in marketing, I understand the impact that good design can have on sales, views, and social footprints. My career experience and education make me confident in applying for this position.

My background includes corporate, agency, and freelance graphic design experience. I have been immersed in the Great Lakes Bay Region (Michigan) marketing community with hundreds of businesses. I have created many successful print and digital campaigns targeting prime audiences. Campaigns include websites, banner ads, mobile app imagery, printed materials, videos, and social media management. I have designed logos and brand identities as well as written copy for blogs, pamphlets, and social media posts for many businesses. My strongest tool set is working within Adobe Creative products. I keep current with Adobe products with tutorials and online training.

A highlight of my career has been seeing the positive effect on the communities around me. I carry this positivity through my work as a designer and an artist. Working within the media and marketing industry has given me a drive within all of my communications.

Thank you, for your time and consideration. I look forward to meeting with you and discussing how I can use my skills to help your business succeed.

Clientele Achievement Spotlight: Douglass Safety Systems

Douglass Safety Systems (DSS) was a fire equipment distributor located in Sanford, MI. With $100,000 plus sales across 6 regions in the state of Michigan, DSS’s primary marketing consisted of print ads in fire information magazines and a stagnant Facebook page. In March of 2019, Doug Engwis was looking to grow his business and stand out from other top distributors.

Objectives for DSS

  • Coordinate new marketing direction consisting of print ads, social media imagery, sales decks, and digital spaces.
  • Revamp the website to brighten, spotlight services offered, and add more details to keep customers from bouncing to other sites.
  • Create and implement digital display advertising, social media advertising, and new email marketing tactics.
  • Standardize art direction across all branding efforts.
  • Increase natural SEO to ensure the best digital footprint possible.
  • Hold sales training sessions to help representatives understand new branding materials.

In the spring of 2021, Douglass Safety Systems was merged with Municipal Emergency Services (MES). MES is the largest fire equipment distributor in the United States. Doug Engwis credited this successful (undisclosed) multi-million dollar deal to the success of the new marketing efforts, website, and general great digital first impressions.
